Add My 360 to the Pile

So it finally happened to me. My Xbox 360 has broken down just weeks before the release of Bioshock. I didn't get the red ring of death. Instead my 360 just freezes up on the load screen, so I can't get to my profile. I will be calling 18004myxbox to get the process started. Hopefully it will be back in time for Halo 3.

That sucks. I've heard from a few people it is about a 4 to 5 week process with all of the shipping times until you get your box back. That should be in time.

yeah, mine took 4 weeks from tech call to in my hands. mine also just froze, no pretty lights for me. although be sure that you don't say it was on a surge protector of any kind, that voids any warranty coverage if it was.

Does this make me all alone now? And I'm not afraid to declare that I play my 360 more than anyone else on the podcast.

Man. Why Microsoft? Why must we gamers suffer? However on a good note, I believe that the time frame given is to account for just in case moments. But why the lies?

They're not going to repair yours. Wait a sec...I mean they will repair yours but someone else will receive it while you get another's repaired console. They should have a pretty good stock of repaired consoles by now so I dunno why such a long time frame.

Of course, there is no guarantee that you'll get it sooner but they told me 4-6 weeks and I got back just short of 3 weeks so there is some hope that you'll receive yours just in time for BioShock.

Good luck!

Expect they might have to make Josh wait for his to actually be repaired. I think he wrote his name on it. :-)
