Xbox Spring Update is Live

The Xbox spring update is now live. No mention of it from Xbox.com, but Kotaku is showing they are able to download it. There are some complaints on the forums about teenagers not being able to use the IM feature because it's for an 18+ audience. I'll check it out when I get home, but I'm sure Andy will beat me to it since he gets home sooner.

no kids would be a great thing, they should get some kind of separate messenger just for kids so as not to annoy me during my Viva Pinata time.

I haven't messed around with the IM or anything, but the achievements update is awesome! I just got the 100,000 points achievement on Guitar Hero II(playing Monkey Wrench), and I didn't have to press the button to look at it. The achievement notice popped up and said "Achievement Unlocked - 10G - 100K score" or something like that. Nice.

Pretty nice features. I watched the videos explaining the new features that is in the marketplace. Very nice. I tried out the download a demo and then turn off feature. It also shows a snapshot of the game in the drive (at a glance feature) with the latest achievements when you select the game. I signed into the Messenger Live and I could see my sister was online (via PC). Nice touch but I aints gonna buy a keyboard or the lovely gamepad/keyboard combo either. Why type when you can just chat via voice?

You can't chat with your sister though, unless she's got an xbox 360. I signed up for the IM also, but I doubt I'll ever use it.
