I've heard game journalist mention that they thought the game looked like garbage, but I think it looks good. They are definitely going with a cartoon look, but it looks clean and consistent. I loved KOTOR and KOTOR2, so I'm really looking forward to this. I just hope the rumors aren't true that I will have to pay an extra monthly fee to play the game online.
Bioware has released their first community update email that includes a link to the first documentary about the upcoming game Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Mass Effect DLC Out and Free for PC
Gamers can download the additional mission at http://masseffect.bioware.com/downloadablecontent/.
A while back, the first downloadable content, "Bringing Down the Sky," was released on Xbox Live for Mass Effect on the Xbox 360. Today that same DLC was released for the PC version of Mass Effect. But for PC gamers, this DLC is free!
The new mission revolves around a group of Batarians (only talked about in the original game, never saw) who have hijacked an asteroid and are flying it on a collision course with Terra Nova.
I'll admit I never finished the new mission, but I enjoyed what I played of it. Bioware was supposed to release a lot of DLC for Mass Effect, but so far this is the only thing they've released. They said they were working on more DLC when Bringing Down the Sky first released, but I haven't heard anything since. What's up, Bioware?

Mass Effect DLC Coming
Bioware isn't letting the (made-up) controversy about their "sex simulator" Mass Effect slow them down. The first downloadable content will be available starting March 10th for 400 Microsoft Points($5).
The new content is called "Bring Down the Sky." It is a new explorable world which features an extremist group of Batarians. Apparently, these Batarians have highjacked an asteroid and are trying to hit a colonized planet with it. (Don't tell Fox News about the new race. They'll just think it's someone else to have sex with.)
The new content adds about 90 minutes of gameplay and one Gamerscore achievement worth 50 points. I'm looking forward to it!

Mass Effect Book
Need something to hold you over until Mass Effect comes out? Well there's a prequel book available that became available today, May 1st, which happens to be my birthday. Titled Mass Effect: Revelation, it's written by Bioware's head writer, Drew Karpshyn. The story takes place 35 years before the game, but it should be a good way to get into the Mass Effect universe before the game comes out.
