It's not really clear if this is a one day only giveaway or if August 31st is just the first day you can download. EA is also letting gamers download Red Alert 2 if you pre-order Red Alert 3.
On Sunday, EA will allow gamers to download the original Red Alert for the PC for free from the official site in celebration of the upcoming Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Red Alert's over ten years old but a good RTS game nonetheless.
Sunday is the 13th anniversary of Command & Conquer.
