Although the episode is mostly seriosu, at the end it appears that the series will be returning to Blood Gulch and the cast of the previous Red vs. Blue seasons. However, it has not been revealed how many of the original characters will return.
The guys over at Rooster Teeth released the first episode of their new series: Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction this week. Their production has only gotten better through the years and this one definitely shows off their skill. A small spoiler after the jump.

New Red vs. Blue on the Way!
The new series is called Reconstruction. From the trailer, it looks like it will be a serious machinima done in Halo 3. It takes place a year after "the war" and a new group "The Meta" are on the loose, killing soldiers.
It's been a while since Rooster Teeth finished their five seasons of Red vs. Blue machinima. Everyone knew they wouldn't just be finished. After all, they're one of the few groups that actually make a living at machinima. Well, Rooster Teeth has released a new trailer for their newest "Red vs. Blue" which will be coming soon.
I look forward to it!

Machina-what?
Microsoft released a set of rules that fans will need to follow in order to use any of their games in machinimas. They present these rules/laws on Xbox.com in a hip cool way that feels warm and inviting.
We all know what machinima is, especially with the large success of Red vs Blue, by Rooster Teeth. Well Microsoft, in all it's greatness, decided it was time to lay down the law on what fans can do with their IPs.
"If you do any of these things, you can expect to hear from Microsoft’s lawyers who will tell you that you have to stop distributing your Items right away."
That was friendly. How about these for some rules:
• You can’t use the soundtracks or audio effects from the original game.
• You can’t use Game Content to create pornographic or obscene Items, or anything that contains vulgar, racist, hateful, or otherwise objectionable content.
Wow, sounds like making machinimas will be tons of fun now. Leave it to Microsoft to take a fun activity that was, in a sense, illegal to begin with and apply rules to make it seem like they are working with the creators. No shit this stuff was illegal to make, but since no one made a profit from it (except Rooster Teeth) no one seemed to care.
Does this mean the end of Rooster Teeth and their famous Halo machinima series? I'm betting no. They've already had talks with Microsoft lawyers when they first started the series. That's why they are allowed to sell the movies on DVD.
Why does Microsoft care? Who knows. Why do they give a crap that me and my friends are making a crappy little movie to have laughs at? Their lawyers are going to be so overwhelmed with the amount of machinimas that hopefully they'll see it was a waste of time and did nothing but piss off the fans instead of winning them over.

Red vs Blue Finishes with a Bang

The 100th and last episode of the wildly popular machinima Red vs Blue was posted today(after only an overnight delay).
I've been a fan since episode one four years or so ago and a sponsor on their site for the last couple years. In order to prepare for the final episode, I sat down on Tuesday and watched all of the final season in one sitting.
The series is very funny, and some of the shots and tricks they are able to pull off in their video work is amazing. Rooster Teeth is definitely one of the best in the machinima business. Their new Shadowrun series 1-800-MAGIC is coming along very well.
I don't want to give any spoilers away, but the ending is definitely unexpected but clever. Some viewers might not like it, but on reflection, I thought it was the best way it could have gone.
My only complaint is that the episode is only viewable through a flash player. I had some problems getting it to work at first, and I'm not alone. Of course, at this point, the server might be getting bombarded and that's the reason, but I prefer to be able to download the video and watch it off of my own harddrive.
